The Kitchen

We have started on the kitchen which is the biggest transformation so far. Painted in 'French Grey' it appears green in some lights and sits well against the off white units and oak worktops. Belfast sink in place and the window bottom has been taken out so the worktop runs through into the window bottom. Blind has arrived. It's a pale oatmeal in colour with grey victorian rose pattern - easiest way to describe it as looking like a pencil drawing. Cream range on order but no decision on floor-can't decide on tiles or wood. There are 3 drop lights which will hang down the centre of the kitchen over the island. The lights have arrived and hopefully will be put up tomorrow. Putty coloured dome fisherman type lights which can be adjusted in height by a pulley - came across them on the John Lewis website.

  1. I'm a freelance interiors writer - wondered if you might be interested in featuring in a real homes piece? Drop me a line if the idea appeals write@kathyhurst.co.uk
