Bathroom; planned out and ready to skim in preparation for tiling
Eva's bedroom taking shape. Bordered and skimmed. New skylights installed and en-suite in place.
Kitchen; skimmed-just waiting for fan to be fitted in chimney and then can finish plastering and units can be fitted.
Outside guttering replaced and ridge tiles re-bedded. Chimneys lined and scaffolding taken down!
September update -this would have been when we should have been moving in so little disappointed to say the least! More money going out on buildings insurance at a premium rate due to it still being empty and under renovation. I suppose it's been holiday season and we are relying on workmen fitting us in around other jobs. Frustrating at times but still very much in love with it. We have resorted to re-plastering all the rooms. The only area left untouched is the hallway, which has a flock style wall paper above the lincrusta paneling. Due to the height of the hall ceiling we have decided to paint over the top of the wallpaper as it has a lovely Victorian style flower print but at the moment it's quite a heavy gold/brown. There are a number of drop lights from the front door, through into the hallway and to the top landing. I've seen some nice glass lights in a pendant shape which will look fab - the next challenge is to try and source them at a lower price considering there are 7!
